Perfect Is a Myth

Listening for the SeaPeople often say things like, “If I just had the
time, I’d write that book” or “If I just had more
money, I’d finally be happy.” Truth is, we often
create our own barriers by waiting for the perfect
ingredients to magically appear (and, that just
doesn’t happen.) Just relax and trust your
inner guidance to help you hit the mark.

“Being unready and ill-equipped is what
you have to expect in life. It is the universal
predicament . . . Circumstances are seldom
right . . . You must always do with less than
you need in a situation vastly different from
what you would have chosen.”

This is something I’ve been continually working on for several years. It sure can be a struggle! But I’ve found that for me it begins with being present. I have to choose to step off of the treadmill of of planning, research and good intentions and begin walking down the path of action. I’ve been lucky to have the Universe pick me up by the scruff of my neck and place me where I needed to be, but it’s much easier when I do it on my own terms…

Ha! I love what you said about the “Universe picking you up by the scruff of the neck”… just gave me an idea for next week’s inspiration. You, Jenny, are a huge inspiration to many! Pure Heart, CJ

I’ve heard it said that perfection is just procrastination. You are so right CJ! We have to move forward regardless. Listening to that inner voice is so hard for me. Getting still enough. But it’s a goal…. 🙂

Wow I really needed this….feeling a little overwhelmed…nice to be reminded that all does not need to be perfect to move forward.

I’ve been feeling that way myself the last couple of weeks, Cathey. It’s beautiful that we can remind each other… we’re all just doing the best that we can (which is pretty damn good!).
