Whenever I practice being neutral
and almost Zen-like about my
emotional triggers, it reminds
me—the only one that can free
me from the hook of my own
anxiety—is me.

but we don’t have to sit on it.”
–Will Foley

This week, Im going to stop myself (as much as I can)
from sitting on all that damn cactus. How ’bout you?

What a timely reminder this is for me! My writing partner and I are waiting as of last night to see if our hopes and dreams are finely cooked or half-baked. Another project is on the stove. I was just reminding myself not to relinquish my peace of mind during this process, and you send this!

I <3 this so much! Right now sounds like the perfect time to identify the cacti around me and to be mindful of choosing a "look but don't touch" philosophy.

Ahh, yes, Jenny. I guess we have to “look” or at least, be aware. But not too much if it doesn’t serve us (I mean the negativity, and stressful thoughts and people). Pure Heart, CJ

Books & Testimonials

I was anxious at first to have someone I didn’t know critique my work . . . What began to transpire was CJ’s enthusiasm for my work. She explored and shared her insights in a kind and compassionate manner, which empowered me to trust her and see how we could make the writing better. She was tireless in her efforts and research. She found access to information I didn’t know about, which made my writing not only cleaner but clearer as well. Her sense of humor and understanding was a joy to work with.
