It takes strength to move
through a tempest, and
come out the other side.
It takes courage to see
the good in life, while
facing the bad.

Yup… It does take tremendous courage to see the good in life while going through the yucky stuff. Focusing on all that we have to be grateful for and relishing our growth from our challenging times is our salvation. Thanks for the reminder CJ.

CJ – I LOVE that you paired this picture with with your quote! Where some might see the fury of the waves crashing all around, I see a lighthouse. Yes, it certainly takes strength to get through the rough times, but 100% of the strength does not always have to come from within. It takes courage to see and trust the ‘lighthouses’ we encounter in our lives, but we are not solitary ships on the sea. We can all be beacons of light to guide each other to the shore.

It is a brilliantly written, informative and (a) fascinating read. Burke Strunsky’s ongoing faith in humanity and the criminal justice system is refreshing and his unwavering persistence in seeking justice for the victims of violent crimes serves to light a bright path on the very dark road to justice—and offers hope and inspiration to us all.
